So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold–though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. [NLT] 1 Peter 1:6-7a

Your sufferings are there only for a moment. It may not seem so to you now, but it will soon pass. Your future may be uncertain and the afflictions unbearable at times with all hopes lost. But if you can but hold on, you will realise that when your hope is in God, your hope will never be a displaced one. He is a Living God and your hope is a living and a certain hope. You don’t lose anything by hoping in God. Your hope in Him will enliven and comfort you throughout all your distresses and will enable you to meet and get through all those difficulties successfully. There is wonderful joy ahead, if you but only hope in the Lord Jesus. There is joy ahead, NOW that is for certain!

No, the LORD’s delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love. [NLT] Psalm 147:11

It may seem that God has forgotten you/is no longer pleased with you since it appears everyone else seems to be moving on progressively in their private and professional lives. Keep praising God. Praising God is the only work that is its own wages. Yes you may not have much to be excited about now, but when you Praise God, there is that lifting in your spirit which reminds your soul of God’s unfailing love towards you, and why everything in your life is working out for your good. Praising God helps your heart to see what your eyes refused to see. Praising God is for your benefit, it is a means to sail through the storms of life and come out stronger on the other end. And you will see the goodness of Lord in your life. It may not look like it now, but one day you too will have cause to rejoice. God has not forgotten you! Keep trusting God!

For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” [NLT] Zephaniah 3:17

Don’t be sorrowful or allow yourself to be an object of reproach or be treated with contempt. Yes many may be saying negative things about you/you’ve found yourself in the ultimate financial difficulty/you’re going through a breakdown in your relationship. Yes there may be things happening that is causing you to lose your mind to worry, making you unstable. The Lord Jesus says He is with you, He loves you very very much, He will assist/support you through it, He is able to bring you through it all and He is rejoicing over you. There may not be much in your life to rejoice over right now, but the knowledge that not only is God with you/by your side but that He is also dancing and throwing up a party on account of you is in itself enough to warm up your hearts, whenever your eyes show you the looming problems. They will not touch you! End of! You belong to Christ Period!

Jesus answered him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one goes to the Father except through me. [GWT] John 14:6

Thank God that Jesus is the way to Him, because to be honest I am indeed lost without Him. Whenever I feel lowly in my spirit, all I need do is remember Jesus, and that assurance that all is indeed well, and that’s enough to brighten up my day. Are you feeling a little confused, unhappy, discontented, not sure what direction to go, not sure which of those decisions to take? Why don’t you ask Jesus, and He will show you the way you should take. Only He has the answers to all of your questions, no one else. Why don’t you try Him today, you will never regret it!

Devotional 14.11.2013

I will not die; instead, I will live to tell what the LORD has done. [NLT] Psalm 118:17

That bullied/divorced/abused/devastated/rejected state will not be the end of you. It might have kicked the stuffing’s out of you, but don’t let it dictate the outcome of your life. Sometimes you need to make certain declarations, certain positive affirmations, to remind your mind, your heart, your spirit that what is happening around you will not be the end of you. And because you’re repeatedly reminding yourself, you grow your faith by believing it. And since you’re positively looking forward, you will not realise how quickly God brings a turn-around in your life. Regardless of what is happening, you will live to tell the goodness of the Lord in your life. You will live to see your success-story. You will not die before your time. Jesus loves you a great deal more than you will ever realise.

Devotional 13.11.2013

“Which of the two obeyed his father?” They replied, “The first.” Then Jesus explained his meaning: “I tell you the truth, corrupt tax collectors and prostitutes will get into the Kingdom of God before you do. [NLT] Matthew 21:31 (Parable of the two sons {Matthew 21:28-31})

Christ Jesus doesn’t judge you. Indeed, He doesn’t care if you were once disobedient, self-righteous, mean, a terribly horrible person, who lived a careless life; the fact that you’ve had a change of attitude is all that is important. But if you like to criticize other folk in a self-complacent righteousness, and think you’re better, then you’re not really all that better. The important thing is the end of the man, not how he began. You might have started well, you might have started badly, do your utmost to make sure you end well. And with Jesus by your side, you will end well in Jesus Name. Amen.

“And now the LORD God of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, asks you: Why are you destroying yourselves? [NLT] Jeremiah 44:7a

If we are honest with ourselves, truly honest, we will find that there are some #habits, some things that we do, that are injurious to us, to our existence.
