Verse of the Day

The LORD continued to appear at Shiloh, and there he revealed himself to Samuel through his word. [NIV] 1 Samuel 3:21

Someone may have told you that in order for you to communicate with the Lord, you will need to hear His voice audibly. And to know it’s truly Him He needs to appear to you in person in order for you to believe. You don’t need God to appear to you in person for you to believe, you simply don’t, for indeed He can reveal himself through His written word, through His spoken word, through the Holy Spirit, through various means, He is the Lord and He will do what He pleases. However it’s not farfetched to believe that He can appear to you in person if He wishes to. Here, we are told that as young as Samuel was in the Lord, the Lord continued to appear to Him through His Word. And who is this word of the Lord that is being referred to? Jesus Christ! Even before Christ took on human flesh, He Was! You see, in the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1) The Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. (John 1:14). So where I’m I going with this, Jesus can still reveal himself in person to you, it’s not bonkers to think so 🙂 and you’re not out of your mind, if you happen to see Him. However, if you among those who haven’t seen his person, it still doesn’t mean He’s not who He is, and that He loves you any less! #He is God, He is Sovereign, He is Who He is, creator of heaven and earth! #VerseoftheDay #SamuelChallenge
