So the captain came to him, and said to him, “What do you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your God; perhaps your God will consider us, so that we may not perish.” Jonah 1:6 [NKJV]
It is natural to want to give up when you’re hit with the many storms of life. So you woke up to some bad news, everything that could go wrong suddenly started doing exactly that. Go wrong. Not knowing which way to turn, overwhelmed by it all, you then make the decision to give up. My dearest friend, this is not a time to give up. This is not the time to sleep. This is the exact time to call on your God. The time to pray. If you’re not serving a living God, the Almighty God, then you already know that there will be no answer from the gods that you look to. But if you have confessed that Jesus Christ is the Lord of your life, then you know His Father, God, is a covenant God, and He is a prayer hearing and answering God. He alone is able to help in time of need, and is willing to do it. Thus it is your duty and in your interest to call upon him in your time of trouble, yes, in your time of need; and watch Him show forth for you. He will never disappoint you. So what are you waiting for? Why don’t you try Him today!
This is the time to call on Him, not to go to sleep!
For this is what the Lord says: You will see neither wind nor rain, yet this valley will be filled with water, and you, your cattle and your other animals will drink. This is an easy thing in the eyes of the Lord; 2 Kings 3:17-18 [NIV]
It’s barely the start of the new year, and it’s beginning to look as if things aren’t going to work out as well as you’d want it to. The first month has not ended, yet, already so much debt, frustrations, and loss of momentum. You keep at it. God is encouraging you today, not to give up just yet. You keep on trusting God, you keep on doing your bit, and watch God come through for you much sooner than you’ll ever realise. How’s your year going?
“Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever!” Revelations 5:13 [NKJV]
We are now in the final month of the year, goodness Lord, you have been faithful. Forever and ever Lord all of our praises and thanks belongs to you Jesus!
Indeed as we try to count and name all of our blessings, there are too many to recount, too many to narrate. Yet one thing we know for certain is that even though there are so many of us in this world, It has NEVER crossed your mind to think of us as too many to bless or remember. Thank you Jesus for not treating each and every one of us as a statistic, but as individuals you have wonderfully made, with purpose, planned to the minutest of details. Our Father and God, indeed we are grateful.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Romans 8:35 [NKJV]
Certainly NOT tribulation, distress, persecution, accusations, disappointments and rejections! WHY? Because in all THESE things we are more than conquerors. “I , left for dead, heart broken, distressed, almost destroyed, but thank God for God, for indeed there was nothing in this life and in this world that could have ever separated me from the Love of God.” – What a testimony! Indeed my Halleluyah belongs to Jesus and HIM ONLY!
But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. Genesis 50:20 [NKJV]
Every challenge one encounters in life is always part of a plan. Of course the negative challenges are never easy when you’re going through it, but the bible tells us today that God makes it all good in the end. It doesn’t matter what someone might have said or did against you that have turned your life into a nightmare of sorts! God says your challenges that was meant for evil, was allowed in order to save you and the lives of countless many. You can’t even begin to fathom the lives that are going to be transformed through your testimony of how ‘you walked through the valley of the shadow of death, and came through it alive’! How God shut the mouth of the devourers, saved you from the debt collectors and the for-closers! How God made a way for you where there was no way, how He brought you back up, after you had hit rock bottom. Yes the frenemies may have lied ‘on’ you, they may have made you the scape goat and it’s all gotten too much that now, you may be looking for a way to end it all. But I am here to encourage you, YOur better days are before you, and know for a certain that they will come and many will celebrate it with you in Jesus name. Don’t give up just yet!
So it was, when his master heard the words which his wife spoke to him, saying, “Your servant did to me after this manner,” that his anger was aroused. Then Joseph’s master took him and put him into the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were confined. And he was there in the prison. Genesis 39:19-20 [NKJV]
Things may not work out as you may have planned it. People may have made up untrue stories about you, in order to curry favour or to get an ‘edge’. It will be painful. It will be devastating. It will be hurtful. And it would be straight out wrong. But that’s no excuse to throw in the towel, give in, and give up on your life. Then they would have worn, completely! Stay focused, stay encouraged, and keep on persisting in your cause. You will find in the end that, that disappointment may be that long awaited miracle shrouded in disguise!
Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.” Genesis 28:15 [NKJV]
You’re going to have one of those days when you wonder if things will ever work out. Don’t worry, you’re not alone in that train of thoughts, or else why would the world have given such thinking a name “neGaTive thINKing”? But today I want to encourage you, thoughts will always come and go, but the WORD of God and His WORDS will always stand the test of time! God’s words will always prevail! His words are not susceptible to our emotions, way of thinking, or to the whims of man. His words are final, and God’s thinking, words and plans for you are good, and regardless of how you may occasionally feel about them THEY WILL come to pass. And the most AMAZING aspect of it all, is that, even when you feel that God has abandoned you, GOD IS STILL WITH YOU, and is not about to leave you until your joy is full, until what He has promised is established in your life. You may be struggling a little today, but I’m here to remind you, that God is faithful a faithful God. He never promises and fails. He is dependable, trustworthy and more than able to do all that He has promised! God bless you folks.
