Your Anger can cost you everything!

#WordsToLiveBy: “Simeon and Levi are brothers; Instruments of cruelty are in their dwelling place. Cursed be their anger, for it is fierce; And their wrath, for it is cruel! I will divide them in Jacob And scatter them in Israel. Genesis 49:5,7 [NKJV]

….

Your anger can cost you everything, even your blessings. The children of Simeon and Levi (men of war) will confirm this. Simeon and Levi were brothers whose anger (and unrepentance) caused them to lose their identity, their place of identification, their lot, their blessing, their inheritance only to become lost in a crowd of people. Today I was studying the word of God in Deuteronomy 33:1-29. And then I realised that when Moses who had led Israel (for 40yrs) was about to die, and set about blessing the tribes of Israel, the Simeonites (Simeon descendants) did not get a blessing. In fact Simeon didn’t even get a mention. I realised the words uttered by an upset parent over their children will and do stick. It is true that I later found out in Joshua 19:1 that whatever Simeon did get, their dwelling place/abode, was mixed up with the inheritance of the children of Judah. But ultimately, His Father, Jacob’s words over his life were fulfilled. The tribe Simeon was indeed divided and scattered among the other tribes, and yes they missed out on the same blessings the others received. Even though, Moses did bless the Levites (Levi’s descendants and co-culprit in the anger issue), they too also received no inheritance, except for where to live in. (Joshua 14:3-4). And the irony of it all that even this same Moses (a Levite by tribe) releasing the blessing did not enter his promised land on account of his anger at the waters of Meribah (Numbers 20:2-13).

So this 2017, try not to let your anger rob you of your impending showers of unabated blessing. People will try upsetting you this year, you just don’t let them. You’re not stupid, spineless and cowardly. You’re smart and you know what you’re holding out for. You’re holding out for your blessing and it will be fulfilled this year in the name of Jesus. Amen! How’s your year coming along?

How Saved are You?

She led him by the hand, and he was out of breath, She led Granddad to safety, and then she suffered death, the ones that were responsible will think upon this deed, Warning have been given, but these they did not heed. The only excuse they can give, a bullet went astray, but the facts cannot be altered, they took her life away. As she lay upon the ground, little arms by her side, her Granddad stood and wept and wept, until the poor mite died. People clustered round, horror on their face, to take the life of one so young, a terrible disgrace, the men, and I mean men; the police of our country carried her lifeless body and passed down in between people young and others old who stood on either side of the never-ending road in which the ”kiddy” died. Each man that carried her, his face was full of awe, for in his arms, limp and still, a child of only four, peaceful and content, in one way, or the other, the smile upon her waxen face, I’m sure was meant for mother, with her she’ll be united one day at heavens door, They’ll pause awhile, then enter to live for evermore.

All who used a gun, or took part in this affray, please stand, think, and study, through each passing day, then go along to church and when you are within repent to the lord, this is a story of what happened in Nigeria some days past, how the life of an innocent child was taken by a stray bullet due to crises in the area; I can tell u that the men involved in this act didn’t know God. If I may ask you, you reading this, who do you believe in? Do you know God, have you known him, and those of us that do, if an innocent child like that could be hit by stray bullet on trying to take his Granddad to safety, what about you? If God forbid, something was to happen to any of us, what story will you’re life’s events be?
