A push without a fall!

Verse of the Day
I was pushed back and about to fall, but the LORD helped me. [NIV] Psalm 118:13
……..
This year we need to prepare ourselves to be pushed. The pushing may come through our desires to succeed in the plans we’ve set up for ourselves this new year. It may also come in the form of an opposition. Sometimes the extremities of the push may cause one to think of giving up. Don’t let it. The Lord say, yes the push may be so strong that it may result in one almost loosing their footing, their way, their vision, BUT He says, He will be there to help us. That He will be there to make sure we don’t fall and fail. Now that’s worth knowing! I don’t know about you, but as for me, this new year I will not let the forceful nature of the push derail me from my expected end! #VerseoftheDay #Devotional #Bible #NewYear #NewYearResolution #Jesus

Almost never made it!

Verse of the Day
If the LORD had not come to help me, my soul would have quickly fallen silent [in death]. [GWT] Psalm 94:17
…….
Indeed this has been my life’s testimony. To think that The Lord Jesus spared my life and not only mine, but those of my family members, my loved ones from sorrow upon sorrows fills my heart with so much gratitude to Him. The depth of the grave beckoned; I almost never made it out, but I did with Jesus. We did with His love. And with that knowledge I know that I (and we) will make it throughout this new year, this 2015 in Jesus name. Amen. It’s going to be our best year yet. With Jesus our testimony will be an unending one!! We will have many reasons to be joyful this year, indeed we will have many joyful moments for The Lord Jesus is and will forever be with us. And with His help we will make it without a shadow of a doubt! #VerseoftheDay #Devotional #AlmostNeverMadeIt #WithJesusIConquer2015 #Amen

My new year swagger!!

Verse of the Day
because you are with me, I fear no harm. Your rod and your staff give me courage. [GWT] Psalm 24:4b
………
My first post of 2015, a little late i know. Truly grateful to God that we made it. And even more, that if I were to forg et everything or anything this year, one assuredness is that regardless of what happens this 2015, the Lord God of heaven and earth, Jesus is with me, is with you and all our loved ones this new year. And for that reason that unrefutable knowledge should give us more than enough courage to run with our visions this new year and to look forward to all the wonderful success stories that will happen in our lives this 2015. That i am certain of!! Happy new year to you all.

A love quite extraordinary!

Verse of the Day

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow–not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below–indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. [NLT] Romans 8:38-39
………
That’s how loved you are! That’s how important you are! That’s how precious you are. Don’t let anyone deceive you with a less ordinary version. You’re quite extraordinary in the sight of God! That’s why nothing, nothing you could ever think of could ever separate you from the love of God.

Verse of the Day

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people [NIV] Ephesians 6:18

…….

The Lord bless you and keep you all. As we pray for ourselves lets not forget to keep one another in prayer.  And may the Lord establish that which He desires in our lives in Jesus name. Amen #Verseoftheday #Devotional #Bible #Jesus #Prayer #PrayForOneAnother

I will fear no evil!

Verse of the Day

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. [NKJV] Psalm 23:4

….

Such a powerful confession; such confidence in the ability of God to guide and protect however long, dark or difficult the journey or situation may be. Even when faced with such adversities, the psalmist declares a defiant standpoint “I WILL FEAR NO EVIL”. Why? Because He is convinced without a single shadow of a doubt that God, His God is with Him, protecting and shielding him from it all. Indeed, the knowledge that God is always with you is more than enough assurance that you have no need to fear any circumstance however deadly or dangerous they may be. You may be wearied and exhausted, you may be overcome by a life threatening illness, you may be facing all manners of adversity, you may be on death’s door, but do you know that you have no reason to fear them all? Do you know that God can and is able to guide, protect and bring you out of them all safely? Question is, are you ready to trust Him? Are you ready to trust Jesus? Do you know that no circumstance, NOTHING can ever separate you from the Love of Christ? He will and He can rescue you out of that messy situation. Why don’t you trust Jesus today? The Psalmist did, I did, and I can tell you, with Him by side, trusting in Him have helped me through many dark seasons of my life. Trusting Jesus has kept me standing and has given me a glorious hope of a blessed future! Why don’t you do the same today! #VerseoftheDay #Truth #God #Bible #TrustingJesus #DifficultSituations #ImpossibleSituations #Problems #Difficulty #Jesus #LackOfHope #Hopeless #HopelessSituation #IWillFearNot #IWillFearNoEvil

Prayer works

Verse of the Day

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart [NKJV] Luke 18:1

….

Prayer works. There are many lessons I have learnt during the many seasons of my life, but the one that stands out the most is to never underestimate the value / importance of prayer. You may not always feel like praying, or you may think it’s a total waste of your time, but one thing I have learnt is that God definitely answers prayer. It doesn’t matter how long you may have been praying that particular prayer, or if you feel that because you’ve prayed it for so long it seems like just maybe God may not be hearing them. Don’t give up on sending your prayers to God. He hears them and in His time He will bring them to pass. There have been situations in my life when I’ve felt like just complaining about stuff instead of taking them to God in prayers (I should know better you would think); after all, praying is a form of communicating with our maker, Jehovah. But I am so grateful to God that whenever it seems I’m about to wonder away from, He always brings me back to Him. Thank you Jesus for being so faithful! He has always been faithful to me, and I know He will never disappoint you. Trust Him to help you through your time of need. He can be counted upon. #Verseoftheday #PrayerWorks #Devotional
