A push without a fall!

Verse of the Day
I was pushed back and about to fall, but the LORD helped me. [NIV] Psalm 118:13
This year we need to prepare ourselves to be pushed. The pushing may come through our desires to succeed in the plans we’ve set up for ourselves this new year. It may also come in the form of an opposition. Sometimes the extremities of the push may cause one to think of giving up. Don’t let it. The Lord say, yes the push may be so strong that it may result in one almost loosing their footing, their way, their vision, BUT He says, He will be there to help us. That He will be there to make sure we don’t fall and fail. Now that’s worth knowing! I don’t know about you, but as for me, this new year I will not let the forceful nature of the push derail me from my expected end! #VerseoftheDay #Devotional #Bible #NewYear #NewYearResolution #Jesus

Remember this if you forget everything else:

Verse of the Day

Once I was young, and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread. [New Living Translation] Psalm 37:25
Rest assured, God has not abandoned you. Neither has He forsaken you. You are surely coming out of that valley. You will not end your days in that lowered ground. The most High God, Creator of the entire universe can never desert in you in that situation. Have faith all is surely well with you. #VerseoftheDay #Bible #Devotional

Darts of Shame

Verse of the Day

The LORD is my light and my salvation– whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life– of whom shall I be afraid? [NIV] Psalm 27:1

If you truly believe that the Lord truthfully is that stronghold, that fortress of your life, where you are shielded and protecting from every form of danger or attack, then that knowledge, that assurance is enough to make you unafraid of what might be happening around you or even out there. There may be rumours circulating at your work place that there may be job cuts on the way / that your contract which is coming up for renewal may not get renewed, don’t let that bother you. You may be believing God for that life partner, starting a family/children, that settlement in your marriage, that establishment, materially and physically, and it all appears not to be forthcoming; and because you are getting on in age for that reason you or others around you may have started to see your life as incomplete; again I say to you, have no fear. You will never suffer shame or humiliation. Yes, trials will come, for a time, but because you know the Lord is that shield, protecting you from all forms of tribulations, that assurance is enough to quench the fiery darts of shame and disgrace when thrown against you. Do not be afraid, the Lord who is your light and salvation will not let them harm you! #Verseoftheday #Devotional #Jesus #DartsOfShame

Your Helper Never Slumbers

Verse of the Day

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? [NIV] Psalm 122:1

My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you—the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.  [NIV] Psalm 122:2-8

Look unto the Lord and Him only, and He will help you in your hour of need. A watchman will at one point fall to sleep, but the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth neither grows tired or week, or even falls asleep during His watch over you. Look to Him, call to Him for help, He has seen your plight, He has seen your circumstance, and He is more than able to deliver you from all your distresses. #RemainEncouraged #VerseoftheDay #Devotional #Psalm #BookofPsalms

The Least I could do!

Verse of the Day

For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation. [NLT] Psalm 100:5

Today I am indeed thankful for all of the challenges, without which I would never have fully comprehended how much loved I and all that concerns me are loved by YOU Jesus! You have been faithful even in impending failure; You have been generous during times of lack; my Lord and my King, You have been true even when all that surrounded me was a multitude of deceivers. Where would I have been today, if it had not been for you? What would have become of me, of my story, of my legacy? But God, You made the difference, You are the difference, and today Lord, the least I could do, is to take the time out to say THANK YOU, for all you’ve done for me! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Jesus, for saving me, for loving me, for being ever so good and wonderful to me!

You’ve not come this far only to Quit

Verse of the Day

Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires. [NLT] Psalm 37:4

Its half way through the year, and maybe for some of us, some of the goals and plans you set out to achieve this year never quite gathered a momentum. Maybe you had some really high expectations that the initial hard work will set the pace for the dreams to become a reality. Or quite possibly because of how long it’s taking, you’ve maybe given up on that audacious plan and have now settled for a life less ordinary. Is this the response of many of you? You still mustn’t give up on that dream. The Word of the Lord says that He will grant you your heart’s desire. The desires of your heart will not go unfulfilled. All your hard work will one day come to fruition, only if you are willing to persist in it. I’m not sure if this is timely, but even I have found that some of my plans that I started out 2014 with, with such enthusiasm have started to wane. So sometimes, it’s good to do a reflection on where you are, what you’ve done so far and how much of the plan still remains to be completed. It’s true that there may still be much work to be achieved, but I’m sure if you were to look back at the last six months, you will see that there have been some milestones which you’ve reached, and that my friend, may not have been the ultimate, but it was still a goal that came to pass :D. You still have another six months to press even harder. This is not the time or the place to give up; and because you take #delight in #God, He will not rest until He has made you the golden wonder that you are :D. Keep pressing on! Your life and destiny is worth fighting for! #2014PlansReview #2014GoalsReveiew #HowWellImIDoing

Verse of the Day

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. [NIV] Psalm 20:7

Did you know that even the greatest / most powerful of men still face challenges! Neither the money they have nor the substantial network they’ve acquired would ever keep them free from trouble. In the end, it all comes down to if their choice of deliverer is powerful enough to help them in their time of need. So many people in all walks of life have miss-placed their trusts on items of accessories, which they believe are powerful/strong enough to help them overcome the trials of life? Question is, are you one of them? Yes chariots and horses are strong, yes your item of choice may be strong, but can they be compared to the one who can marshal them? Can they be compared to the Strong and Mighty ONE, to #Jesus, the captain of the hosts of the Lord, the leader of all the vast army of unseen confederates, who are destined to marshal the forces of nature; that in a swift action can come to your aide to help you? Think about it, which would you prefer? To put your trust on the “marshalled marshalled” or the Marshal? I don’t know about you, but I sure know whom to put my trust in! His name is Jesus; He is my mighty deliverer, the Almighty God, who rules forever by His power. He alone is worthy to be trusted, anything else is counterfeit! #Verseoftheday #ItrustInTheNameofJesus #HeismyDeliverer #BookofPsalms
