Verse of the Day
Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. [NIV] Psalm 9:10
Never in the past, so far now and the years to come has God forsaken / or will He ever forsake those who faithfully cling on to him. It doesn’t matter what that trial may be, it doesn’t matter if you’re being hunted like a Jackal, it doesn’t matter if you feel abandoned; if you hold onto Him, He will surely come through for you. The Psalmist testified that since his youth and up until his old age, he has never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging for bread (Psalm 37:25). That’s a testimony worth remembering. The Lord has never forsaken anyone, and He’s not about to start now with you. So keep on holding and trusting Jesus. He will surely come through for you. #VerseoftheDay #EncourageSomeoneToday #Devotional #Bible #Jesus #Depression #Faithful #God
Verse of the Day
All your children will be taught by the LORD, and great will be their peace. [NIV] Isaiah 54:13
It is important for our #children to know what it means to put their faith in #Christ our #Saviour, and the importance of how following Him will help them navigate this troubled world with His peace. We may not realise this, but children also face many forms of adversities and trials, and so developing faith in Christ and hope for their futures based on the knowledge of the Love of God, will be irreplaceable in their journeys through life. It is also just as important to pray continually for them, so that what they will never depart from the Lord, in-spite of life’s travails, all the days of their lives in Jesus name. Amen. It is my prayer that our children will be personally taught by the Lord, so that they will know Him in Spirit and in truth, and need no one to persuade them who Christ is, because they will know Him truly! #Verseoftheday #Children #Devotional #Bible #Peace
Prayer: I confess the word of God over my children. I confess that all of my children are taught of the Lord and great is their peace and undisturbed composure. [Is 54:13]. They will grow in wisdom and stature and have favour with God and man. [Luke 2:52]. I will train up my children in the way they should go, and when they are old they will never turn from it. [Proverbs 22:6]. The angels of God will keep charge over my children to accompany and defend them and preserve them in all their ways. [Ps 91:2]. You Lord are their refuge and fortress. You are their glory and the triumph of their heads. [Ps 91]. I confess that my children will delight themselves in the Lord and God will give them the desires of their heart. [Ps 37:4]. I confess that my children are more than willing and obedient, and will eat the best of the land. [Is 1:19]. I confess that my children will obey their parents in the Lord. They will honour, esteem, and value as precious to them, us their parents, for this is the first commandment of God with a promise, so that it will be well with them and that they will live long on the earth. [Eph 6:2]. My children will choose life and love you Lord and obey Your voice and cling to You; for You are their life and the length of their days. I hide them in Chrsit Jesus and Christ in the Father and plead the blood of Jesus over all the days their lives, in Jesus name. Amen.
Verse of the Day
And I will cause the Egyptians to look favorably on you. They will give you gifts when you go so you will not leave empty-handed. Every Israelite woman will ask for articles of silver and gold and fine clothing from her Egyptian neighbors and from the foreign women in their houses. [NLT] Exodus 3.22
When the time came for God to deliver His children, the people of Israel, it was not a good time for their masters the Egyptians. Infact, they would have preferred anytime but that time. Why you ask? The Egyptians had gone through a series of plagues, diseases and deaths because their leader and king, Pharaoh refused to let the children of Israel go. The Egyptians were in a state of unending sorrow, and mourning because of what was happening around them, yet the Lord encouraged the Children of Israel, that before they make the journey, they should “ask” the Egyptians for some gifts for the road. Of course anyone in their right mind would see that, when a man or woman is out of sorts, it’s not the right time to ask them for favour, gift and the likes. But the Lord told the children of Israel to ask. And asked they did, and received they did. Is there someone in a place of authority that you need to receive favour from, and you’re a little worried, because you’ve heard he/she is always in a bad mood? The Lord is telling you, GO FOR IT! You have the favour of the Lord Jesus Christ with you, and for that reason, your time of favour is now, and you my dearest will not be denied of what you’re asking! #Verseoftheday #Exodus
Ask me, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance and the ends of the earth as your own possession. [GWT] Psalm 2:8
I’m sure there were times when you were younger than you are now, when you went to see your dad about getting you “must have” gifts 🙂 And of course your dad being your hero, if it was something he could do, within his power, he did just that. Of course if you had someone like my dad, you probably get whatever you asked for up until the age of 7-8 and after that you had to come up with a reason, a dissertation / thesis of some sort why what you wanted was important, what the benefit of having it would make in your life and what daddy would get in return.. e.g., I promise to pass my exams, brush my teeth, not fight with U-g-o…and so forth… But I digress 🙂 Love my dad 😀
But our Father in heaven is saying to us here, to ask HIM? Are there things plaguing your mind that you would like a rest from or questions about our God our Father which you would like to know? Ask HIM! Are there uncertainties, mysteries, lack of clarity/vision which you would like to get a hold of? Ask God! Is there some nagging questions keeping you awake at night which no one has been able to help you with? Ask the Lord! He’s not like some or most fathers, whose powers are limited, who maybe put conditions on their love/gift giving, or who maybe were nowhere to be found or seen when you needed them the most. El Roi, our Father who is Strong and sees everything that we do, has ALL the answers. He is a loving and doting Father, whose only care in the world is YOU. Go to Him and see if He is not able to come through for you. He is Jehovah Sabaoth, whose power is without ending, and His love for you has no limit or condition. Ask of Him, speak to Him, He hears, and He will answer you.
