For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. [NLT] John 3:16
Thank God We are the objects of God’s special love, and as we continue to be merry this Christmas, let us be truly merry because God the Father loved us so much that He sent His son Jesus Christ to show us the way back to Him. Our Saviour and Lord. We are truly loved, indeed we are truly precious. What manner of love is this?
For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. [NLT] Isaiah 9:6
Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas to you all. For indeed, unto us a Child was born, called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty mighty God, our Prince of peace and forever and ever our everlasting, without end the Father and founder of our faith. He is God, He is King, and He is our Saviour Jesus Christ. As we celebrate His birth today, amidst the eating and the drinking, we are grateful for His life, without which there would be no hope for us all. But thank God for Him, thank God for God, thank God for the Life of His precious son, Jesus Christ our Lord and King. And Merry, merry Christmas my dearest friends again.
All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’). [NLT] Isaiah 7:14
There are various kinds of “sign” that God could have given to His people many centuries before the birth of Jesus Christ, but He chose to give them a sign of the virgin birth, a conception process which humanly speaking or otherwise was an impossible process. But it was a sign that regardless of how one tries to disprove it, came to pass two thousand years ago, and which many of us as Christians (and non-Christians) celebrate. Because without His birth, our reconciliation to our Father in heaven would not have been possible. So this season, do all you can to be in great cheer, because Jesus came in human form so that in whatever situation you find yourself in, you should always have that reassurance that you are never alone. Merry Christmas!
Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again–rejoice! [NLT] Philippians 4:4
Even in the midst of that struggle, let your heart be full of joy. You may not have much to be glad about, but that single action of “making a decision to be joyful regardless of what may be happening” gives you a better perspective on things. Why? Because you have made a choice to always be glad, you will always see the positive aspect of every negative situation. So maybe Christmas is coming and maybe it’s a season that fills you with so much trepidation, rejoice and be glad. Maybe it’s a lonely time, or simply you don’t have enough to make it as cheerful as you would like it to be, rejoice and be glad. Don’t weary yourself unnecessarily. The Lord Jesus always has a way of making everything beautiful, and everything will work out marvellously in your life in Jesus name. Amen. And so I say it again. Rejoice.
