Faith to have faith!

Verse of the Day

Have mercy on us and help us, if you can.” “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” [NLT] Mark 9:22b-23

As Christians, we need to understand that there will be times in our walk with Christ when some areas of our lives will encounter challenges. In as much as you are hurt, disappointed and frustrated, don’t let it all get the better of you. Don’t allow yourself to indulge in doubt/unbelief. Don’t give in to the temptation to lash out, complain or give up on your faith in God. Yes you might feel, you’re all prayed out and faith”ed” out, but that desired change still remains unanswered, so what is the point? When it seems you’re all faith”ed” out, see this as that opportunity to go back to God asking Him to restore or even re-ignite your faith in Christ Jesus again. Never underestimate how important it is to ask God for His help in restoring or re-establishing your weakened faith foundation. Someone once said that sometimes, what we need during this time of waning faith is the “faith to have faith”. Ask God for the “faith to have faith” and He will give it to you. And you never know the answers to your breakthrough that may have eluded you for so long, may be hidden in a prayer that you’ve yet to utter. Nevertheless, in times of wavering faith, ask the Holy Spirit of God to re-ignite your faith so that you can finish the race set out before you well!
