Made to be Great!

Verse of the Day

I said, “You are gods, [elohim, mighty ones; that is, the judges]

And all of you are children of the Most High. [NKJV] Psalm 82:6

We have been created to rule, to be in charge, to run, to dominate our surroundings. Many of us probably don’t realise the magnitude or the significance of the kind of power God has endowed us with. It’s about time we did. God has called us “gods”, mighty ones, judges! These are not just mere traits, these are traits needed to be successful leaders and world leaders in our areas of professions. We weren’t created to simply exist or live mediocre/average lives, we were created to impact the world we live in. We were created to reflect the presence and the glory of the Most High in our lives. We were created to be exceptional! Don’t let anyone deceive you into thinking you were created to be extraordinary, or aspiring to be better than you are right now is not for you. See to it, that that which God created you be is evident in your life. You have been created for Greatness, see to it that you become it! #Verseoftheday #Greatness #gods #Bible #Devotional #Mightyones #Jesus

Illuminated to shine

Verse of the Day

The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it,[a] for the glory[b] of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. [NKJV] Revelation 21:23

You don’t need to go far seeking for things or people to make a success of your life. All you need is God, the creator of heaven and earth. With Jesus as your light, His glory will make you shine so brightly that His illumination on your life distinguishes you for greatness. Seek Him only, and every other thing in this life will be added unto you! You want to know the secret of success, not the kind the world gives, true success, seek Jesus and Him only; and you will never regret a day in your life! #Verseoftheday #Devotional #Bible #Jesus #Glory #Shine #Success #SuccessStory #SecretofSuccess #regret #TrueSuccess #Greatness

Miserable life, miserable existence, Woe is me!

Verse of the Day

Every day is a terrible day for a miserable person, but a cheerful heart has a continual feast. [GWT] Proverbs 15:15

It is so true that oftentimes when you’ve had a long series of disappointing things happen to you (and I mean long, sometimes even decade long), you can get into the nasty habit of simply expecting more of what you’re already used to having. Naturally, you have been through an awful lot of troubles (too numerous for one person) and so you no longer expect good things/news to come your way. You’ve resigned yourself to the fact that the only thing that will ever come your way is more bad news. I should know, I used to be like that. But one thing I have discovered in my life’s examples is that this is not how God wants us to live our lives. No! On the contrary! The Lord our Father in heaven created us to have a fulfilled and satisfied life. That’s even more the reason why Jesus came, to remind us of that fact. Don’t let yourself be deceived into thinking that only miserable things happen to you, and you were born to live a miserable life. No Way! That’s a lie from the enemy. The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. Do not let it steal your joy. Because once that happens you’ll find yourself in that Rollercoaster where all you expect from your life is a miserable one. And because that is what you’re expecting, it will happen. Make no mistake about that. But the moment you remind yourself of who you are in Christ, and how precious you are to him, and the glorious plans He has for you, you don’t need anyone or anything to make you think less of yourself. You have been created for greatness, and greatness will be realised in your life. Do not doubt that! DO not doubt that. That which the Lord has created you for will be revealed in your life in Jesus name. Amen. #Verseoftheday #Bible #Greatness #MiserableLife #MiserableExistence #Devotional #NoMoreLies #TruthAboutYou

“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart [NLT] Jeremiah 1:5a

God the creator of the entire heavens and the earth knows all men before their conception and birth. Irrespective of the circumstance surrounding your conception and birth, or what you’ve been told time and time again, God says, you were not an accident, nor were you born by mistake. The uniqueness that is you, has already set you apart from everyone else, and you my friend was given birth to for a purpose. You were not born to bring shame, pain or disgrace to the family you’ve been born into, you were born for a greater purpose than you will ever fully realise. A good purpose! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Greatness is in you. Regardless of what happens, don’t let that ever slip away from your consciousness.
