It will all work out in the end!

Verse of the Day

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? [NIV] Matthew 6:26

Do you know it’s funny how we go about worrying about life’s challenges, yet when we get a minute to sit down, and look out of our windows we see birds chirping away. They don’t have money to buy food, but every day they wake up with a knowledge that they have been provided for out there. When the food seems to run out in one Area/continent they move on to another, because they know there’s food out there J. They don’t have any worry or care. Why? Because in our bible verse for today we are told that, they do not sow, and they do not store away in barns, yet they know that they have been provided for, our heavenly Father always provides for them. But that same God asks us “are we then less valuable than they?” Have you asked yourself that question, How much value do you place on yourself? If you don’t know, I’ll just quickly remind you: God loves you so much that He sent HIs one and only son to come into this world to reconnect us back to Him. That process required Jesus to die on the cross. He died for all of our past sins, and mistakes, our sin was nailed with Him to the cross, was buried with Him, and when He was raised from the dead by God the Father, so did we too, to walk into the new life Jesus died for us to live. That’s how important you are! That’s how precious and important we are to God. If we are that important to Him, why do we let the worries of this life steal our joy and hope on the glorious plans He has for us. Don’t you know how much you’re loved! Don’t you realise your value to God. Next time, you start getting overwhelmed with life’s challenges, think on your value in God’s eyes, and you’ll see that indeed all will work out well in the end! #Verseoftheday #Devotional #Bible #Jesus #TrustingGod #Grace #Past #Mistakes #Worry #Challenges #NotGivingUpInLife

It makes a difference Having God as your Father

Verse of the Day

Then you will know that the LORD makes a distinction between the Egyptians and the Israelites. [NLT] Exodus 11:7b

Before the children of Israel could be rescued, they had to be reminded about the goodness and greatness of God. They had been enslaved for so long that they had probably given up on the idea of ever being freed/rescued, or if in fact the God of their fore-fathers was still in the business of answering heartfelt requests that was birthed from their sufferings. And when Pharaoh refused Moses’ messages from God, the Lord had to show to the Israelites that their God was a living One and not like the gods of the Egyptians. I’m sure when they were reminded the lengths Jehovah would go in order to rescue them from their distresses, I’m sure we don’t need to wonder how they would have felt at the time. The Lord Jesus, the Son of God says anyone who believes in Him, who believes in His teachings have salvation for their souls. And through our faith in Jesus Christ, God qualifies us as His children, and regardless of whatever we might be going through, He is more than able to show to us and the people around us, that there is indeed a benefit in having the Creator of the entire universe as our Father.

Verse of the Day

You did not abandon them in the wilderness because of Your great compassion. During the day the pillar of cloud never turned away from them, guiding them on their journey. And during the night the pillar of fire illuminated the way they should go. [HCSB] Nehemiah 9:19

You see, and there you were thinking you’ve been abandoned and left for dead all along. #God, creator of the heavens and the earth gave you life (vs 6) that was why you were able to wake up in the morning. He found you worthy and not worthless because of the finished work of #Christ, and for that reason kept His covenant and promise of never leaving you or forsaking you, but I guess you were too dejected to notice that. He saw your suffering and heard your cry that was why He came and gave you the miraculous sign of the gift of health, and sound mind. By day as you walked albeit mechanically doing your daily chores, it was He who gave you the day’s light to guide you throughout your journeys, and by night, when it became dark, He helped you find your way to safety, amidst the chaos and the dangers that lurked in the night. Your tummy rumbled and immediately signalled you were hungry, but He made sure that you never went a day without food, and water to quench your thirsty life. He was to you that unwanted help that gave you the 101 on how to survive and live the good life through Him, through His WORD. But I guess, because it wasn’t like physically winning the Euro-millions lottery and driving the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, things you felt that would show for definite that He was with you, you couldn’t quite see that indeed through it all, only He was right by your side. Today He has given you another chance to see your life through His eyes. He has given you the gift of life, health and of sound mine, again for a purpose. See to it that this time around you don’t squander it; that you see Him for Who He is! Your God who is always there for you, Who will never abandon you regardless of the fiercest of storms! #NehemiahChallenge #Verseoftheday

Verse of the Day:

Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me. [NIV] Psalm 54:4

Certainly the Lord God, creator of the entire universe is your help! He will not only help you but He will also sustain you through that journey, that waiting period, that trial, that valley experience, that uncertainty! Remain encouraged! Don’t let what might be happening around you rob you of your joy or cause you to give up. It might be glaringly obvious that things are just not working out, but you mustn’t let that stop you. Keep on going strong. Your refusal to accept defeat with the knowledge that Jehovah will/is helping you is all you need to get to the finishing line. Have faith in #Jesus!

For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not being merely human? What then is Apollos? What is Paul? [ESV] 1 Corinthians 3:4-5a

We may have much knowledge, yet still be oblivious to what is true. There are so many contentions, people quarrelling and squabbling among themselves; all of which are sad evidences of the state of life in the world we live in. Serving God, the creator of the entire Heaven and Earth is not about defending your faith – or your so called “#religion” – to the world. For indeed with Him there is no such thing as a religion, but instead, it’s all about a relationship which by its very nature is peaceable (not contentious) through which others gets to see His love. In our walk as #Christ-followers (Christians) we ought to make conscious efforts of imbibing His qualities in our daily lives. Of course that will not be easy, especially if there are people always trying to get into a dispute with you or you are the one who likes going around disputing with others :); but the decision to reflect Jesus’ qualities, is a start in that good direction. We were created to follow Christ, no one else, for only He is the true #foundation on which you can build a life worth living. #Any other foundation is an imitation!

“If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” [NASB] Joshua 24:15

I am so very excited this morning! There is something about making public declarations, putting to paper plans, having a vision and running with it! We have started a new year, and many of us probably have a new year’s resolution in one form or the other. To either eat less, eat healthily, exercise more, take care of one’s self more and countless many others. There is also the need of accountability, making sure that as one is saying or trying to implement all this, for it to work there is someone one is accountable to. But this 2014, in as much as it is desirable to have all the aforementioned on my list, my earnest desire for this 2014 is to serve the Lord more, not just alone, but to try and get my family members involved 🙂 – even you my Blog fam. My experiences with God thus far have convinced me without a shadow of a doubt that Jehovah is the true God. I know already this year, regardless of how zealous I am of things pertaining to succeeding in the areas of Career, business, family, academics, and all the confidence I would ever have of my own sufficiency, will undoubtedly be in vain without God in it all. Yes I have plans of a better me in this New Year, but my greater desire this 2014 is to SERVE God more! # Accountability Check! #How’s your 2014 Plans coming along?

“And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people”. [NLT] Romans 2:29b

You don’t have to be Jewish, or “White” in order to have Faith in Jehovah (God of Isreal). Having Faith in God is not a “White man’s religion” as many have called it. Yahweh is no respecter of persons. All nations/tribes/people/race/colour are all equally precious to Him; and He has granted and will continue to grant each and every one discoveries/revelations of Himself (as He has always been) that will be sufficient for their salvation. So don’t let people fool you into thinking that because of who you are, or where you’re from, or the colour of your skin disqualifies/negates you from putting your faith in Him. The Words of God is an infinite/limitless blessing to all that beholds it, and is life to all that finds it. Choose life, choose Elohim. Jesus will undoubtedly make you what His Words says you will be, and give you a heart that seeks only to praise Him. And with that heart He will make you the praise of all men.
