Verse of the Day
When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. [NLT] Psalm 94:19
There is no other place I would rather be than where I am with you Lord Jesus! There’s no greater fulfilment than living the life You planned for me. There is no greater feeling than finally understanding the sincerity and depth of the words You’ve spoken concerning me. Words to encourage me through difficult times. Words to resolve my focus when surrounded with so much distraction. Words, words, to hold onto when my mind is filled with a myriad of doubts and it appears all are lost. A smile, the joy that I feel when I think of my future, a future orchestrated and built on the foundation of Your love, how that fills me with so much hope. Lord Jesus, after my search (and Lord you know how hard I’ve searched), without a doubt I have found for certain, there is no love, no grace or mercy that can be found or compared to that which I’ve found in You. Lord Jesus I am grateful that I am no longer lost or in a state I once was in. If it hadn’t been for you Lord, where would I have been today? What would have become of me without your words to comfort and encourage me? Now that I have found you, my life finally makes sense. Yes Lord Jesus, yes You gave me clarity in the midst of confusion, and dared me to hope when compelled by a great deal of conflicting facts. And because I hoped in you, your unwavering truth and words were revealed in my life. For that Lord, I am truly grateful! Are you still searching for the meaning of your life? Are you compelled by a great deal of facts that is making it impossible to find the truth of what God says concerning you? Then why don’t you try Jesus, you would be surprised to hear what He has to say concerning you? And He does exactly what he says He will do!
O LORD, you are my lamp. The LORD lights up my darkness [NLT] 2 Samuel 22:29
Since God has made you into a light, you no longer have any links with Darkness. Everything that brought unimaginable sadness, shame and scandal, humiliation, distress, broken heart, broken promises, disappointments, abandonment, rejection, trials of many kinds, was Darkness. But thank God for God, Our bright and Morning Star, came in and took away everything that reflected darkness in our lives and transformed us all into lights. Because in truth, nothing, not even darkness can ever stand in the brightness of His light, His glory. So don’t waste a moment longer of your life on those dark moments that used to throng your life, and focus on the fact that you are now reflecting the brilliance and brightness of God’s glory, our Lord Jesus Christ, and for that reason, no form of darkness can ever be able to withstand you all the days of your life!
As the appearance of the rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the surrounding radiance. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell on my face and heard a voice speaking. [NASB] Ezekiel 1:28
We know that the rainbow is a reflection of the rays of the sun in a thin watery cloud on a rainy day, and from Ezekiel’s descriptions, Christ is represented as clothed with a cloud and a rainbow about his head. And since Christ Jesus is the brightness of his Father’s glory, and the express image of his person; the only hope of us shining as the light He made us to be, to radiate the wonderful reflection of His glorious light, to be released from the shackles that have stopped us from making progress in all of our endeavours, is to have Christ Jesus in us. Only then can we be able to reflect his risen glory over our situations. He is our only hope of living a successful life. He will make you what He is, the brightness of God’s glory.
To the Israelites at the foot of the mountain, the glory of the LORD appeared at the summit like a consuming fire. [NLT] Exodus 24:17
According to “Gill’s Exposition” of this verse he said and I quote:
“When God spoke out of the cloud, the glory of the Lord flashed out like devouring fire; it was not devouring fire, but it was like it; it was like a great blaze of fire, which consumes all that is in its ways; it was such a large body of light, and so clear and bright, that it looked like devouring flames of fire; and being upon the top of the mount was very visible, and seen at a great distance in the eyes of the children of Israel throughout, their camp.”
Now if this same GLORY of God is risen to shine OVER our lives [Isaiah 60:1], surely we know what this means! Every situation/problem/circumstance making a mockery of our lives has been consumed by the glory of God, and that’s why it’s time we no longer allowed those turn of events in our lives dictate how we lived. It’s time you got up and took your place. The glory of God in your life has loosened you from every chain of problems that tried to keep you in bondage. In Jesus name. Amen.
