For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. [NLT] Isaiah 9:6
Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas to you all. For indeed, unto us a Child was born, called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty mighty God, our Prince of peace and forever and ever our everlasting, without end the Father and founder of our faith. He is God, He is King, and He is our Saviour Jesus Christ. As we celebrate His birth today, amidst the eating and the drinking, we are grateful for His life, without which there would be no hope for us all. But thank God for Him, thank God for God, thank God for the Life of His precious son, Jesus Christ our Lord and King. And Merry, merry Christmas my dearest friends again.
His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen! [NLT] Isaiah 9:7
I absolutely love this time of the year, so grateful to God for this season, a time when we take the time out to celebrate the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ, whose birth was foretold and whose Kingdom has no limits, and will never end. We thank God for our Lord Jesus Christ and we are forever indebted to Him for the gift of Salvation. I am so grateful for the spread of His gospel, and thankful that I got to hear of this wonderful King who came, so that through His life and death I could be reconciled back to my Father in heaven.
All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’). [NLT] Isaiah 7:14
There are various kinds of “sign” that God could have given to His people many centuries before the birth of Jesus Christ, but He chose to give them a sign of the virgin birth, a conception process which humanly speaking or otherwise was an impossible process. But it was a sign that regardless of how one tries to disprove it, came to pass two thousand years ago, and which many of us as Christians (and non-Christians) celebrate. Because without His birth, our reconciliation to our Father in heaven would not have been possible. So this season, do all you can to be in great cheer, because Jesus came in human form so that in whatever situation you find yourself in, you should always have that reassurance that you are never alone. Merry Christmas!
