Stubborn persistence creates chances!!

Verse of the Day
I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time. [NLT] Ecclesiastes 9:11
We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. [KJV] Hebrews 3:14
Life is uncertain, it is not always the best, the strongest or the fastest that reaps the rewards of life; it’s those who stubbornly keep persevering, holding onto the things of God in spite of what life throws at you. Why? Because in the end, in His time He will come through for you. And not giving up on God brings you that much closer to your breakthrough. William Feather said, “Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go” while Robert Brault said, “Stubbornly persist, and you will find that the limits of your stubbornness go well beyond the stubbornness of your limits,” I think that’s a good advice, I believe that’s how we ought to be with our lives when it comes to the things of God. Regardless of where we are in life, or the struggles we encounter, our refusal not to let go of God gives us that fighting chance to live the life He created us to live! Create your own chances with Jesus, you stand a better chance in life with Him on your side than without!! #VerseoftheDay #bible #Devotional #Jesus #Chances #Stubborn #Perseverance

Partial knowledge!

Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely. [NLT] 1 Corinthians 13:12
We may not understand all that is happening around us right now, but because we have the maker of all things, creator of the entire universe in full control of our lives and affairs, we can rest assured that one day His plans will be revealed completely. And in the end that’s all that matters. It may not all make sense now, but one day you’ll see it makes sense to trust Jesus!! #Reflection #Devotional #Bible #Jesus #Verseoftheday

Courage in times of Adversity

Verse of the Day

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most [NLT] Hebrews 4:16

Sometimes after you’ve fought the good fight of faith, and it appears that your seen promised land is still in the distant nether regions, you next action is to stand your ground and not to give in. Not to sit down, while at the same time trying to explain to your heart why it’s time to stop fighting, or to stop hoping, or well to find an alternative land; sometimes all you need do is stand! You have come too far to give up! You’ve put up a brave fight to see it all be in vain! Ask God for courage, the courage to stand and see the vision a reality! Ask the Lord Jesus for His confidence, with which you can douse all fiery doubts back to oblivion. Your season of breakthrough has not left you behind and was never a lie! This year, albeit almost ended, you will still experience the reality (not the religiosity) of serving a Living and Mighty God. Your testimony this 2014 will still be an unending one, so don’t just give in just yet! Ask The “Ancient of Days” for the courage to stand, so that you will be able to see that promised “promise” was never a mirage! The promise of God over your life is an assured one, so keep on standing on that promise! Your life is not a mistake, your expectation is not a false one and you my friends are not alone! #VerseoftheDay #Devotional #Bible #Jesus #CourageInTimesOfAdversity #CourageToStand #God #Faith #Fight #FightOfFaith

You don’t just need access you need possession!

Verse of the Day

Never stop praying. [NLT] 1 Thessalonians 5:17

You may get tired or praying, it may become monotonous, it may become boring, and you may feel it may not be yielding any fruits. But today I am reminded that if you pray, and keep on praying without stopping on a particular issue, The Lord will most definitely come through on that promise. Is there a situation you’ve been seeking the face of God on? Is there a much needed change you desire from God? Then don’t stop petitioning Him. Keep on persevering in your prayers and in no time you will start to see the fruits of your answered prayers. The Lord is always near to those who call Him. Don’t just give up, pray your way out of that situation, and you’ll be joyful that you persevered to the very end. Prayer gives you access to that key you need to your breakthrough, but more importantly praying without ceasing gives you possession of the key to unlocking the doors to your breakthroughs! Yeah I said it. You don’t just need access; you need to take possession of it! And when you’ve made up your mind not to stop praying, you’re already walking into your answered prayers! So which of the two would you prefer, access or taking possession? I know which one I would prefer, and it is my prayer that the Lord Jesus will continue to strengthen you as you pray your way out of every challenge that’s been making a mockery of the presence of the Omnipotence in your life. You will reap the fruits of your prayers, if and only if you don’t give up! #Verseoftheday #Devotional #Bible #Jesus #Challenges #Prayer #PrayerGivesAccess #ContinuousPrayerGivesPossession #DontStopPraying

Your good is much better!

Verse of the Day

Don’t worry about the wicked, or envy those who do wrong. [NLT] Psalm 37:1

Why you ask? Because “like grass, they soon fade away. Like spring flowers, they soon wither”. Therefore “Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun” (Psalm 37:2-6). Focus on doing good and in due time you will be richly rewarded by God! Though it seems your breakthrough may be taking a long while in coming, don’t stop in doing that good that you’re doing. The Lord has seen your good works, and He will never disappoint you. Remain encouraged. It will work out just fine in the end! #Verseoftheday #Devotional #Bible #Jesus #FaithFulGod #Psalm #Psalm37

What My Bible Told Me – 08.09.14

Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good! [NLT] Psalm 14:1

If you’ve ever doubted the existence and the presence of the Omnipotence in your life in your circumstances, then you know what the bible calls people like you. I don’t think you want to be listed among those whom the bible calls fools? One word is enough for the Wise. #Verseoftheday #WhatMyBibleToldMe

On my way home!

Verse of the Day

God says, “Rebuild the road! Clear away the rocks and stones so my people can return from captivity.” [NLT] Isaiah 57:14

Regardless of the challenges, the word of the Lord says that you are coming out of them to your place of breakthrough. But the pathway to your promotion needs to be built. It needs to be prepared, so that you don’t ever get stranded on your way to your breakthrough, by finding yourself on a road that is difficult to walk through. But how do you do this, all you need is to have faith in God, and put that faith into practice by believing that Christ Jesus is your only Hope of glory and that what he says He’s doing He will do. And to maintain that faith, you also need to continually remind your heart and mind what God’s words says concerning you, because the people that do know their God will always remain strong, and do exploits (Daniel 11.32). That is the truth. So do not be afraid. Don’t let anyone deceive you, your breakthrough is nearer than you think, all you need do, is clear the way to it with truth about Christ! #Verseoftheday #Bible #Devotional #Breakthrough #Promotion #OnMYWayHome
