Peace is Conditional

Verse of the Day

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. [NKJV] Isaiah 26:3

Jesus enjoyed the best possible peace (sleep) in the worst possible place (the stern of the boat (Mark 4:35-41)). There was another demonstration of this deep tranquillity which our Lord Jesus enjoyed when the ugly arms of the cross stretched out its hands to Him, He said “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you” (John 14:27). Can you imagine the places where Jesus found peace was Galilee in the storm and Calvary in darkness? So if from our above bible passage we’ve been told that peace is not something achieved but rather is something given, it would mean that for us to continually be in peace we will need to do something. Why do you ask this? Because even the scriptures also told us that “There is no peace for the wicked” (Isaiah 57:21). Which means that having the peace of God which passes all form of understanding is conditional, and it’s conditions requires you to not only be in obedience to the Word of God and living by His precepts, but you need to have your mind fixed, stayed on Jesus, on God continuously. That is to say, you need to Trust Him like you’ve never trusted anybody before. That was the kind of trust Jesus had for His Father in heaven in order for Him to have peace whilst He was caught up in the storms of Galilee and Calvary. Don’t you think it’s time you started enjoying this kind of peace? Don’t you think it’s time you trusted Jesus to take care of all your business! It is my prayer that you find this peace in Jesus name. Amen. #Peace #Verseoftheday #Bible #Jesus #Devotional #PeaceIsConditional

A short-changed life!

Verse of the Day

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. [NKJV] Proverbs 23:7a

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword [NKJV] Hebrews 4:12a

You cannot determine everything in your life with the way you feel, but with the way you think, with the way you speak. Speaking the Word of God activates your faith, changes your mind set and your thinking; and is that key in unlocking the doors to your miracles. Do you know that the word of God is living and filled with power? Do you know that? Do you know that when God’s word is activated in your life, His Word can fortify you against any giant, any obstacle, and any person that could ever stand in the way of your progress in life? Do you know that? Don’t you think it’s time you started empowering your mind with all that God says concerning you. Don’t you think it’s time you started speaking the words of God into existence into your life, into your life’s situation? Don’t short-change your destiny with your negative thinking; change it with the word of God. And with God on your side, you can never be defeated! #Verseoftheday #Devotional #Bible #JesusCan #Depression #Suicidal #Suicide #GivingUp #Encouragement #confused #confusion #Peace #breakthrough #hurt #pain #StinkingThinking #WordOfGod #ThinkGod #ThinkLife

It’s time you gave yourself a break!

Verse of the Day

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. [NKJV] John 14:27

When you’ve done all you can; when you’ve tried all the possible ways to try to fix the pieces of your broken life; when you’ve worn yourself out with worry, frustration, anger and bitterness; when you’ve looked, searched, asked and can’t seem to find any help in the horizon; when your outlook is bleak and you’ve come to a point when you feel or think that all is lost, and your life is beyond redemption. Don’t you think it’s time you stopped with all the worrying and gave yourself a break, don’t you think it’s time you asked for a different kind of help. But you’re probably saying, I’ve tried and even exhausted every possible means and nothing happened, nothing changed? No one can help me! But I’m saying to you, Jesus can! And He wants to! Don’t you think it’s time you asked Jesus to step in, to do the impossible, and to do that which no man/woman can do for you? Don’t you think it’s time you got that break, that turn around in your life? Don’t you think it’s time to live the life He created you to live, and not the life you think you can or cannot get by with? Don’t you think it’s time you called on the master builder? Don’t you think it’s time you asked for His help? He says when He steps in, you will not only have what He made you to have, but you will finally have peace and rest of mind in this life. Don’t you think you need that peace? Don’t you think it’s time you gave yourself a break? It’s time you gave yourself a fighting chance to breakthrough into the life you were created to live. A life with Jesus, that is beyond pain and hurt, but all about His peace in the midst of all the confusions. #Verseoftheday #Devotional #JesusCan #Depression #Suicidal #Suicide #GivingUp #Encouragement #confused #confusion #Peace #breakthrough #hurt #pain

Our Children’s peace!

Verse of the Day

All your children will be taught by the LORD, and great will be their peace. [NIV] Isaiah 54:13

It is important for our #children to know what it means to put their faith in #Christ our #Saviour, and the importance of how following Him will help them navigate this troubled world with His peace. We may not realise this, but children also face many forms of adversities and trials, and so developing faith in Christ and hope for their futures based on the knowledge of the Love of God, will be irreplaceable in their journeys through life. It is also just as important to pray continually for them, so that what they will never depart from the Lord, in-spite of life’s travails, all the days of their lives in Jesus name. Amen. It is my prayer that our children will be personally taught by the Lord, so that they will know Him in Spirit and in truth, and need no one to persuade them who Christ is, because they will know Him truly! #Verseoftheday #Children #Devotional #Bible #Peace

Prayer: I confess the word of God over my children. I confess that all of my children are taught of the Lord and great is their peace and undisturbed composure. [Is 54:13]. They will grow in wisdom and stature and have favour with God and man. [Luke 2:52]. I will train up my children in the way they should go, and when they are old they will never turn from it. [Proverbs 22:6]. The angels of God will keep charge over my children to accompany and defend them and preserve them in all their ways. [Ps 91:2]. You Lord are their refuge and fortress. You are their glory and the triumph of their heads. [Ps 91]. I confess that my children will delight themselves in the Lord and God will give them the desires of their heart. [Ps 37:4]. I confess that my children are more than willing and obedient, and will eat the best of the land. [Is 1:19]. I confess that my children will obey their parents in the Lord. They will honour, esteem, and value as precious to them, us their parents, for this is the first commandment of God with a promise, so that it will be well with them and that they will live long on the earth. [Eph 6:2]. My children will choose life and love you Lord and obey Your voice and cling to You; for You are their life and the length of their days. I hide them in Chrsit Jesus and Christ in the Father and plead the blood of Jesus over all the days their lives, in Jesus name. Amen.

Verse of the Day:

We’re frustrated, but we don’t give up. [GWT] 2 Corinthians 4:8b

Don’t be so quick to make a judgement on a frustrating situation. Sit down and look at again. You might find after a few days have gone, your view on it would have changed. Are you facing some challenges that might be causing you to see things in a way you ought not to see them? Are you overcome by an overwhelming feeling of giving up/not bothering on that project/plan/desire? Hang fire for a little while AND ask the Lord Jesus for patience, AND He will give it to you. Don’t give up on account of that situation. Everything will work out just fine. Keep your faith in Jesus alive.
