Partial knowledge!

Reflection

Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely. [NLT] 1 Corinthians 13:12
……….
We may not understand all that is happening around us right now, but because we have the maker of all things, creator of the entire universe in full control of our lives and affairs, we can rest assured that one day His plans will be revealed completely. And in the end that’s all that matters. It may not all make sense now, but one day you’ll see it makes sense to trust Jesus!! #Reflection #Devotional #Bible #Jesus #Verseoftheday

Finding out the Truth

Verse of the Day

And the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth. [NLT] Acts 17:11

….

Today during my group’s ritual morning tea/coffee break, the topic of religion became the subject of our conversation. And at the end of it, one thing that was on a repeat dial, etched in my memory throughout my morning and afternoon was how grateful I am to have my very own personal “Words of God” in the form of my Bible. Because I have my own copy of the Bible, I never need to ever rely on someone else’ interpretation of what they think the Bible which is the written words of God is saying. Since their interpretation would always be subjective to motive, and could maybe have a mixture of truth and untruths, you know like flat out lies :D. Having your own copy of the written words of God, helps you to search out the truth and be able to identify when fakers are trying to brainwash you :D. But more importantly having access to the words of God gives you the freedom to form your very own relationship with your Maker at your own pace, not relying on a designated “higher spiritual human” to lead you astray for lack of understanding. Today after my morning break I realised how fortunate I am to have my own relationship with my Maker, formed by my daily understanding of His words. Not having to wait for gathering sessions to be told things that will be way beyond the remit of my understanding since I will not have been educated enough (by personal study) to understand what it means to be a child of the Most High! Just because someone says something is true doesn’t make it so. It is your responsibility to find out for yourself what is true and what is not. And regardless of your level of education – whether educated or not – God will still meet you at your point of understanding, and you will know what true freedom in God truly is. #Reflection #FreedomInChrist #ThankGodForMyBible #ThankGodForHisWords #ThankGodForTheGospel  #VerseoftheDay

Verse of the Day

One day Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock far into the wilderness and came to Sinai, the mountain of God. There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a blazing fire from the middle of a bush. Moses stared in amazement. Though the bush was engulfed in flames, it didn’t burn up. “This is amazing,” Moses said to himself. “Why isn’t that bush burning up? I must go see it.” [NLT] Exodus 3:1-3

…..

There is a popular saying that no situation in life is a permanent one and that change is constant. Moses was a man who went from being a Prince in #Pharaoh’s court, to a dedicated #Shepherd in Midian, to a #Leader of a large Nation. Indeed, how changeable is the life of a man; and more so, Moses succeeded because he understood the signs of the times and adjusted to whatever situation he encountered. He was not embittered or resentful because He left the luxury of Egypt and was now living a not so luxurious life. No, he got on with it.  Because He was a man who was faithful in all the positions of life he found himself in, He earned the trust of God. Now, my question to you is this, in the position you’ve found yourself in, how faithful have you been? Or have you been there comparing why your life is not like that of Suzy, Jackie and John? #Reflection: A person who keeps what God has entrusted to them – regardless of where he/she finds themselves will earn the trust of God. Why? Because it is in this place of obedience, faithfulness and hard work that God will meet them and give them that which He has for them. #VerseoftheDay #workhardregardless #BookofExodus #Exodus
