Because I’m Happy!

Verse of the Day

Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. For me to write the same things to you is not tedious, but for you it is safe. [NKJV] Philippians 3:1

Have you made Jesus Christ your Chief joy giver? Whatever sorrow you might have on account of what is going on around you, may be you’re not feeling your best, or know someone who is not too well; or there are situations that have kept you up at night; regardless of your current circumstance, you have a reason to be joyful. Not just because of our Salvation through Christ Jesus our redeemer, but more so of the hope of His glory, the hope of His coming. You have every reason to rejoice in Christ. Your life’s circumstance may have tried to stifle that joy, but don’t let it. What you have in Jesus can never be taken away from you, unless you let it. For every reason you think you have for not being joyful, there are more than 10,000 reasons for you to be. Do you know you’re alive today not because it’s a normal progression of life? NO! You’re alive today because everyday Jesus wakes you up from your sleep, to see the glorious day He has prepared before you. Some days may not go as you had hoped, but there are aspects of the day to be joyful about. Make the joy of the Lord your strength, and I promise you, you will never go a single day unhappy 😀 #Devotional #Verseoftheday #ChiefJoyGiver #Bible #Salvation #Jesus #Joy #Joyful #ReasonsToBeJoyful #ReasonsToBeHappy #BecauseImHappy

The Worst of them all

Verse of the Day

This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”–and I am the worst of them all. [NLT] 1 Timothy 1:15

…..

BUT He saved me. Trust me, there is no greater gift than this, and no greater peace than having this knowledge. There is no greater trouble, circumstance or problems in this life that should make any of us forget that in spite of everything, Jesus came to this world to save us. You may be experiencing some kind of loss, some kind of rejection, even hurt and resentment. But if you could but only think on this, your priceless gift of salvation, you will realise that everything else pales in comparison to this wonderful knowledge, this wonderful assurance, this wonderful acceptance, that Jesus didn’t just love you, He died to give you a fighting chance to become free. A fighting chance I say, because many still don’t realise that whatever battles they may be facing in life, because of the finished work of Christ on the cross; that automatically makes them an overcomer. That His death of the cross guarantees you victory! The question therefore is do you want to be free? Do you want to be victorious? Do you know that you can be victorious? Why don’t you try Jesus today, and I promise you, you will never regret that decision. I’m still having the time of my life. The journey may not be easy, but believe me, in Him, it will be all worth it! #Verseoftheday #Bible #Jesus #victory #victorious #Overcomer #Salvation #Saviour #Saved

Devotional 24.12.2013

His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen! [NLT] Isaiah 9:7

….

I absolutely love this time of the year, so grateful to God for this season, a time when we take the time out to celebrate the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ, whose birth was foretold and whose Kingdom has no limits, and will never end. We thank God for our Lord Jesus Christ and we are forever indebted to Him for the gift of Salvation. I am so grateful for the spread of His gospel, and thankful that I got to hear of this wonderful King who came, so that through His life and death I could be reconciled back to my Father in heaven.
