Illuminated to shine

Verse of the Day

The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it,[a] for the glory[b] of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. [NKJV] Revelation 21:23

You don’t need to go far seeking for things or people to make a success of your life. All you need is God, the creator of heaven and earth. With Jesus as your light, His glory will make you shine so brightly that His illumination on your life distinguishes you for greatness. Seek Him only, and every other thing in this life will be added unto you! You want to know the secret of success, not the kind the world gives, true success, seek Jesus and Him only; and you will never regret a day in your life! #Verseoftheday #Devotional #Bible #Jesus #Glory #Shine #Success #SuccessStory #SecretofSuccess #regret #TrueSuccess #Greatness

Not So Perfect Day

Verse of the day

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. [NLT] Philippians 4:13

….

Regardless of how your day may have been or even your week, whatever your circumstance, the strength of God is available for you to stick it out and come out triumphant. It may not have been a perfect day, but with God it can still be a day of success for you. Why because you chose not to let the challenges overwhelm or overcome you. And because you are still standing, no form of challenge will ever be too much for you to bear, because you have the knowledge that the strength of Christ at work in you is more than able to overcome them all. How’s your day going? Don’t let the strength of Christ in you be put to shame, because you chose to give in to life’s challenges. #Verseoftheday #Bible #Devotional #NotSoPerfectDay

Success Is Relative

Verse of the day

And the man became rich and kept getting richer until he was very wealthy. [HCSB] Genesis 26:13

….

Isaac had become great because he listened to God and stayed in an area where many would have given up on because of the famine that had ravaged the land. And even though he was a foreigner/immigrant on a land he had no legal/lawful rights on, nor of any parental heritage, his obedience to God was rewarded, and God granted him success in that land. I’m sure after his success, he probably thought he had reached the peak, and therefore couldn’t get any better than what he had achieved. But the bible tells us that in spite of his great success, he still went forward in obtaining even more success. This means that even though he had reached his peak in becoming overwhelmingly successfully wealthy is all things; there was still room for him to become even greater than greatness in God. Isn’t it amazing how with God, there is indeed no limit! Now, are you in a place where you think you’ve become so successful in the areas of your Career, business, Ministry, finances that you’re thinking surely now that I’ve reached my peak, there’s no way I can advance any more than where I am? Are you about to exchange your life from what God has planned for you, because you’ve seemingly arrived? Regardless of how successful you think you’ve becomes, there is still so much more with God. Don’t get comfortable with all your past and present achievements, when with God there is still room for you to grow and attain much more height because that is the will and plan of God for your life. You may have attained a level of success, but God wants you to grow in your success. Stretch yourself, and keep your vision alive, there is still much more to attain with God.  #Verseoftheday #Devotional

You’ve not come this far only to Quit

Verse of the Day

Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires. [NLT] Psalm 37:4

………

Its half way through the year, and maybe for some of us, some of the goals and plans you set out to achieve this year never quite gathered a momentum. Maybe you had some really high expectations that the initial hard work will set the pace for the dreams to become a reality. Or quite possibly because of how long it’s taking, you’ve maybe given up on that audacious plan and have now settled for a life less ordinary. Is this the response of many of you? You still mustn’t give up on that dream. The Word of the Lord says that He will grant you your heart’s desire. The desires of your heart will not go unfulfilled. All your hard work will one day come to fruition, only if you are willing to persist in it. I’m not sure if this is timely, but even I have found that some of my plans that I started out 2014 with, with such enthusiasm have started to wane. So sometimes, it’s good to do a reflection on where you are, what you’ve done so far and how much of the plan still remains to be completed. It’s true that there may still be much work to be achieved, but I’m sure if you were to look back at the last six months, you will see that there have been some milestones which you’ve reached, and that my friend, may not have been the ultimate, but it was still a goal that came to pass :D. You still have another six months to press even harder. This is not the time or the place to give up; and because you take #delight in #God, He will not rest until He has made you the golden wonder that you are :D. Keep pressing on! Your life and destiny is worth fighting for! #2014PlansReview #2014GoalsReveiew #HowWellImIDoing

Verse of the Day

The LORD will restore Jacob’s glory like Israel’s glory, although enemies have looted it and have destroyed its vines. [GWT] Nahum 2:2

The Lord says He will restore your splendour. Don’t think there’s any more to add! Maybe you’re feeling a little neglected, abandoned, with a bleak outlook because of all that is happening around you. The Lord says He’s going to add some wonderful colours back into your life, to make you glorious! The loveliness of a successful life that you were destined for that once eluded you, which you thought you may never be associated with, the Lord says He is restoring back. Get ready, sooner than you can ever imagine, glory is about to overtake you, and a life lived in great joy will forever be synonymous with your name. Amen and Amen.
