The Truth is never hidden

Verse of the Day

My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. [NIV] Psalm 139:15

……….

Have you allowed a lie or many variations of it to master you? Have you allowed it to get a foothold into your life, letting it erode your hopes and dreams? Was it because it was easier to believe the lie instead of seeing the truth for what it is. Some times what you know for certain about the Sovereignty of God is more than enough for you to see the truth for what it is! That God created you to reflect the glory of His goodness! You don’t need anyone to tell you or teach you the truth. It is never hidden, it’s not that difficult to find? Just because the lie has clouded your mind into believing the truth is not for the like of you; still doesn’t stop the truth from being the truth, doesn’t stop the truth from being what God says is “TRUE”! God is so confident about the truth of all He says concerning you, about your glorious destiny, about you, that no lie of the enemy can ever stop it from becoming a realisation. Don’t you think it’s also time you became confident in the assurance of God, in His truth, which can never be hidden in your life, which He says in Isaiah 55:10-11 will definitely be realised in your life? Don’t you think it’s time you started believing the truth?  #VerseoftheDay #Devotional #Bible #Jesus #Secret #Truth #Hidden #lies #untruth #God

A Love like none other!

Verse of the Day

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. [NKJV] John 15:13

….

Through the words of Jesus in today’s Bible passage, He shows us how far our love for one another should be; even to the point of laying down of our lives for our friends; which is the highest instance of love shown to us all by Jesus. But what does friendship really mean to many today? Many of us today choose our friends based on what they have to offer, very rarely discovering the blessings of a genuinely true friendship. Thank God for Jesus, who is the finest example of what a true friend should be. His love for us is sacrificial, never selfish. And when He walked among men, He demonstrated it not only through his miracles but more fully through the humble service of washing His disciples’ feet (John 13:1-17), and then ultimately, when he laid down his life on the cross. Don’t you know that valuing your friend’s needs above your own, you’ll be on your way to loving like Jesus; and in the process gain a true friend for life? I don’t know about you, but having true friends is worth so much more than gaining false ones. Prayer: Lord Jesus, teach us how to love like You! We know it’s not going to be easy, but it will be worth it in the end. In Jesus name. Amen.

A Faithful Friend

Verse of the Day

A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity. [NKJV] Proverbs 17:17

…..

A true, hearty, faithful friend, loves in times of adversity as well as in times of prosperity: there are many that are friends to persons, while they are in affluent circumstances; but when there is a change in their condition, and they are stripped of all riches and substance; then their friends forsake them, and stand at a distance from them; as was the case of Job (Job 19:14) – [Gill’s Exposition].

It’s a very rare thing to find a friend that is a constant in every situation you may find yourself in, such as has been described in today’s bible verse. But you don’t need to let that unsettle you. The same scripture tells us that indeed there is such a friend that sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24b). His name is Jesus! Many may have let you down, but He only can be relied upon. Indeed I have found Him to be a faithful friend! Why don’t you try Jesus today, and you will never be disappointed! #VerseoftheDay #Devotional #Bible #FaithfulFriend #Jesus #Friendship #Truth #God

If not But God!

Verse of the Day

Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You almost persuade me to become a Christian.” And Paul said, “I would to God that not only you, but also all who hear me today, might become both almost and altogether such as I am, except for these chains.” [NKJV] Acts 26:28-29

…..

If the Lord had not been on my side, the troubles of this world most likely would have snuffed the life out of me. But God rescued me. Great is His love towards me, He preserved my life and kept my feet from slipping. He alone is worthy of my praise and thanksgiving! My lips will continually glorify Him, for He has done wonderful deeds in my life. He has been my rock, my fortress and my deliverer. He delivered me from all my troubles and my eyes have always looked in triumph over every challenge, adversity and adversary that has ever tried to make a mockery of the love of God over me. He is the stronghold of my life, and whenever I call to Him I am saved from every negative situation that tries to plague me, and great has always been my peace. He is Faithful, Pure, Trustworthy, Merciful and Loving God. His ways are Perfect! He is Wonderful, Powerful, Majestic, Marvellous, ONLY HE CAN KEEP ME SAFE, no one else! He truly has been and will forever be a good good God. If you don’t know Jesus yet, why don’t you try Him? It is my prayer that you come to know this amazing God whose love is better than life itself. #VerseoftheDay #Bible #Truth #God #Bible #FaithfulnessOfGod #Testimony #ReasonsWhyILoveGod #HeIsGodAlone

It will surely come to pass!

Verse of the Day

For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know. [KJV] 1 Thessalonians 3:4

……

In George Foreman’s book, God In My Corner-A Spiritual Memoir, there is a section called, Storms Don’t Last. He tells a brief story: Someone once asked an elderly woman her favourite Scripture verse. She replied, “And it came to pass.” “And it came to pass? But that doesn’t mean anything.” “Yes it does,” she answered. “I know that whenever a trial comes, it doesn’t come to stay; it comes … to pass. It’s not going to be around forever.” It is true that her understanding of “It came to pass,” may be a little odd, but the lady knew what she was talking about. Indeed if you could but change your thinking to that of the woman, that in spite of the trial, even when it seems all hope is lost and gone, that indeed, no situation will and can last forever. Did you know that in the King James Bible, “And it came to pass” occurs 396 times (Or 453 time if you drop the “And.”). You may not be feeling very hopeful now, but whatever challenge you may be going through, too, will pass. And that my friend is an undeniable truth. God is not finished with you yet. Every situation that seem unmovable, that’s been making a mockery of your life’s testimony, that you’re losing your joy or sleep over, will soon pass in Jesus name. Amen. #VerseoftheDay #Bible #Truth #God #Bible #Change #ItCameToPass

His name your life Changer!

Verse of the Day

If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. [NKJV] John 14:14

Jesus Christ gave us a signed open cheque. That whatever we ask in His name, that is for our real good that is according to His will for us, that is for the glory of God, that He would do it for us. But you’re probably wondering, but how do I know what is good for me? How do I know what is according to God’s will for me and that will also bring Glory to God? Don’t you know that the will of God is not meant to be a secret we must uncover? No, Indeed, God wants us to understand His will far more than we want to understand it. He has always made His will very clear to us, to those of us who look to Him and are obedient to His commands. Aside from the facts that God wants us Saved (1 Timothy 2:3-4; 2 Peter 3:9), Spirit-filled (Ephesians 5:17-18), Sanctified (1 Thessalonians 4:3-7), committed to His word (1 Peter 2:13-15) and to understand that the journey is not for the faint hearted (Philippians 1:29; 2 Timothy 3:12), He also wants us to live in great health and prosper, even as our soul is prospering (3 John 1:2). So if you’re struggling in the area of your health, emotionally, physically, financially why don’t you ask Jesus’ help? He said He would, so don’t be shy about it. He wants you to be healthy and well. He wants you not to be in lack. There are so many wonderful things He wants for you, all you need do is find out for yourself what He wants for your life. And trust me God speaks, and clearly too. Stop suffering in silence and open your mouth and your heart to ask for His help; ask in the name of Jesus Christ, a name that is above every other name and He will do it for you. Don’t be shy? Ask and watch your change come! #Devotional #VerseoftheDay #Truth #God #Bible #Change #WillofGod #Name #Jesus #Christ

I will fear no evil!

Verse of the Day

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. [NKJV] Psalm 23:4

….

Such a powerful confession; such confidence in the ability of God to guide and protect however long, dark or difficult the journey or situation may be. Even when faced with such adversities, the psalmist declares a defiant standpoint “I WILL FEAR NO EVIL”. Why? Because He is convinced without a single shadow of a doubt that God, His God is with Him, protecting and shielding him from it all. Indeed, the knowledge that God is always with you is more than enough assurance that you have no need to fear any circumstance however deadly or dangerous they may be. You may be wearied and exhausted, you may be overcome by a life threatening illness, you may be facing all manners of adversity, you may be on death’s door, but do you know that you have no reason to fear them all? Do you know that God can and is able to guide, protect and bring you out of them all safely? Question is, are you ready to trust Him? Are you ready to trust Jesus? Do you know that no circumstance, NOTHING can ever separate you from the Love of Christ? He will and He can rescue you out of that messy situation. Why don’t you trust Jesus today? The Psalmist did, I did, and I can tell you, with Him by side, trusting in Him have helped me through many dark seasons of my life. Trusting Jesus has kept me standing and has given me a glorious hope of a blessed future! Why don’t you do the same today! #VerseoftheDay #Truth #God #Bible #TrustingJesus #DifficultSituations #ImpossibleSituations #Problems #Difficulty #Jesus #LackOfHope #Hopeless #HopelessSituation #IWillFearNot #IWillFearNoEvil
