It will surely come to pass!

Verse of the Day

For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know. [KJV] 1 Thessalonians 3:4

In George Foreman’s book, God In My Corner-A Spiritual Memoir, there is a section called, Storms Don’t Last. He tells a brief story: Someone once asked an elderly woman her favourite Scripture verse. She replied, “And it came to pass.” “And it came to pass? But that doesn’t mean anything.” “Yes it does,” she answered. “I know that whenever a trial comes, it doesn’t come to stay; it comes … to pass. It’s not going to be around forever.” It is true that her understanding of “It came to pass,” may be a little odd, but the lady knew what she was talking about. Indeed if you could but change your thinking to that of the woman, that in spite of the trial, even when it seems all hope is lost and gone, that indeed, no situation will and can last forever. Did you know that in the King James Bible, “And it came to pass” occurs 396 times (Or 453 time if you drop the “And.”). You may not be feeling very hopeful now, but whatever challenge you may be going through, too, will pass. And that my friend is an undeniable truth. God is not finished with you yet. Every situation that seem unmovable, that’s been making a mockery of your life’s testimony, that you’re losing your joy or sleep over, will soon pass in Jesus name. Amen. #VerseoftheDay #Bible #Truth #God #Bible #Change #ItCameToPass

His name your life Changer!

Verse of the Day

If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. [NKJV] John 14:14

Jesus Christ gave us a signed open cheque. That whatever we ask in His name, that is for our real good that is according to His will for us, that is for the glory of God, that He would do it for us. But you’re probably wondering, but how do I know what is good for me? How do I know what is according to God’s will for me and that will also bring Glory to God? Don’t you know that the will of God is not meant to be a secret we must uncover? No, Indeed, God wants us to understand His will far more than we want to understand it. He has always made His will very clear to us, to those of us who look to Him and are obedient to His commands. Aside from the facts that God wants us Saved (1 Timothy 2:3-4; 2 Peter 3:9), Spirit-filled (Ephesians 5:17-18), Sanctified (1 Thessalonians 4:3-7), committed to His word (1 Peter 2:13-15) and to understand that the journey is not for the faint hearted (Philippians 1:29; 2 Timothy 3:12), He also wants us to live in great health and prosper, even as our soul is prospering (3 John 1:2). So if you’re struggling in the area of your health, emotionally, physically, financially why don’t you ask Jesus’ help? He said He would, so don’t be shy about it. He wants you to be healthy and well. He wants you not to be in lack. There are so many wonderful things He wants for you, all you need do is find out for yourself what He wants for your life. And trust me God speaks, and clearly too. Stop suffering in silence and open your mouth and your heart to ask for His help; ask in the name of Jesus Christ, a name that is above every other name and He will do it for you. Don’t be shy? Ask and watch your change come! #Devotional #VerseoftheDay #Truth #God #Bible #Change #WillofGod #Name #Jesus #Christ

I will fear no evil!

Verse of the Day

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. [NKJV] Psalm 23:4

Such a powerful confession; such confidence in the ability of God to guide and protect however long, dark or difficult the journey or situation may be. Even when faced with such adversities, the psalmist declares a defiant standpoint “I WILL FEAR NO EVIL”. Why? Because He is convinced without a single shadow of a doubt that God, His God is with Him, protecting and shielding him from it all. Indeed, the knowledge that God is always with you is more than enough assurance that you have no need to fear any circumstance however deadly or dangerous they may be. You may be wearied and exhausted, you may be overcome by a life threatening illness, you may be facing all manners of adversity, you may be on death’s door, but do you know that you have no reason to fear them all? Do you know that God can and is able to guide, protect and bring you out of them all safely? Question is, are you ready to trust Him? Are you ready to trust Jesus? Do you know that no circumstance, NOTHING can ever separate you from the Love of Christ? He will and He can rescue you out of that messy situation. Why don’t you trust Jesus today? The Psalmist did, I did, and I can tell you, with Him by side, trusting in Him have helped me through many dark seasons of my life. Trusting Jesus has kept me standing and has given me a glorious hope of a blessed future! Why don’t you do the same today! #VerseoftheDay #Truth #God #Bible #TrustingJesus #DifficultSituations #ImpossibleSituations #Problems #Difficulty #Jesus #LackOfHope #Hopeless #HopelessSituation #IWillFearNot #IWillFearNoEvil

A disappointment too many!

Verse of the Day

My soul melts from heaviness; Strengthen me according to Your word. [NKJV] Psalm 119:28

Your plans may have been overturned; you may be going through all manner of grief and disappointments at the thought of what you’ve lost. The idea, the dream! You may be thinking that all your work may have all been in vain, a wasted effort, and may be tempted to quit since you feel you’ve lost your way. You’re probably wondering how much more of this can you take. How much more can you continue to press on without seeing results? Today we are encouraged not to give in to such temptations; not to let the set-backs be a stumbling block on our way to that desired destination. You may have lost your way, but God has not lost His plans and desires for you. God always has a way of allowing our own plans to be broken so that we with Him can build bigger and better ones. Don’t be disillusioned, He is shaping and moulding you in fulfilment of His design and purpose for your lives”. He is still at work, when it seems all else if failing. He has not left you, regardless of how lost you may be. You will find in the end, that your overturned plan was a stepping to stone to propel you into your completed vision. Keep pressing on! #Devotional #VerseoftheDay #Truth #God #Bible #Plans #Purpose #God #Disappointments
