My Good days outweighs my bad days

Verse of the Day

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; [NKJV] Proverbs 3:5

…..

God knows what’s best for you, even if in that struggle you can’t seem to see the light at the end of it all, God sees you and has seen your future, and it’s not as bad as you may have been led to believe. Think upon all the good in your life, you’ll definitely see that the good days most definitely outweighs the bad days. Besides, nothing good comes from the dark night, that’s why when it’s night time, most people including (you) are expected to rest their body for the new morning, the new day which is filled with so much day light. So you’re having one of those days, you don’t need me to tell you how to spend it :). It’s time to switch off your focus from it all, and focus on Jesus. It’s time you rested your mind on Jesus, it’s time you leaned on Him, and you’ll see you’ll have rest for your soul, not just for a time, but for eternity. Jesus cares much more than you will ever realise. And if you were to do a stock check of how it’s all been, you’ll find that with Jesus, the days haven’t been at all bad! The good days always outweighs the bad days with Jesus! #VerseoftheDay #Bible #Jesus #Devotional #GoodDaysOutweighsBadDays

His Praises!

Verse of the Day

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. [NKJV] Psalm 34:1B

….

The Psalmist said here, I will bless the Lord at all times, and His praises, not complaining; His praises, not voiced out worries; His praises, not testy words; His praises, not angry words; His praises, not blame games; His praises, not grumbling/grumpy words; His praises Will continually be on my lips. If there’s anything I’ve found in this life of mine is God is worth Praising. He has been The One Who can open doors than no man can shut; The One Who can make a way when there is no way in sight. The One that can lift one up even after all has written you off. The One Who loves, when all has deserted you. He is worth praising, and in no time you’ll see all of life’s trials become testimonies of His faithfulness! Now don’t you think it’s time you exchanged your response to life’s challenges with His Praises! Don’t you? You a New Creation!

Verse of the Day

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. [NKJV] 2 Corinthians 5:17

…..

Isn’t being a new creation a wondrous thing – formed in the mind of God and created by His power and for His glory? In today’s reading we are told what it means to be a new creation and in the preceding verses how we came about it. When we chose to put our faith in Christ Jesus by believing, our old nature was automatically nailed to the cross with Christ. You see when Jesus died on the cross He died for all of our past sins, and mistakes. So that when we put our faith and trust in Him, we’re acknowledging Him as our Lord and Saviour, and the fact that our sin was nailed with Him to the cross, was buried with Him, and when He was raised from the dead by God the Father, so did we too, to walk into the new life Jesus died for us to live – Our new life, us as “new creation”. Of course as believers we can and will still make mistakes, but because of our new nature in Christ, we are no longer slaves to it (as we formerly were), and with the help of God sin will no longer have any power over us (Romans 6:6-7). Now as new creations, we are empowered by and for righteousness, and now have the choice to either let sin rule over our lives or to count ourselves alive to God in Christ Jesus and therefore dead to sin. But most of all, as new creations, we now have the power to choose the latter. Isn’t that glorious! So what would your choice be today? To be alive in Christ as a new creation where you are empowered to live the life you were created to live, or be alive in your old self? The choice is entirely up to you! #Verseoftheday #Devotional #Bible #Jesus #Sin #NewCreation #OldThingsHavePassedAway #AllThingsAreNew #EndlessPossibilities #Grace #Past #Mistakes #ForgettingThePast #ReachingForTheFuture

Forgetting what lies behind!

Verse of the Day

Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, [NKJV] Philippians 3:13

…..

Everyone likes to remember their past! Of course there are many things in our past which are pertinent for our future, have made us what we are today and some can say is a vital part of what we are today. However, there is a reason why our past is our past! In as much as one can recall the joys and victories of the past, our past is also littered with mistakes, failures and painful memories. Someone once said,” to focus on the mistakes and failures of the past brings paralysis of anguish and remorse”. We are encouraged in our today’s Bible reading, that action we need to take in order not to sabotage our future; the need to “Forget what lies behind”. If Jesus through His action, His death on the cross, brought us forgiveness of sins and says to us “Our Past is forgiven”; Who has covered up our past with His love and forgotten the unforgettable in our past lives, don’t we think it’s time we forgot all that lies behind us too? It is only when we’ve chosen to forget, to not let the mistakes of the past hurt us anymore, can we “reach forward to those things which are ahead” of us. Jesus’ redeeming grace that grants perfect peace has freed us from the shackles of our past mistakes! And it is because of that grace can we freely reach for our future, one filled with endless possibilities of fulfilling destinies. Now don’t you think that future is worth reaching for, don’t you think that future is forgetting all the mistakes of the past?? #Verseoftheday #Devotional #Bible #Jesus #EndlessPossibilities #Grace #Past #Mistakes #ForgettingThePast #ReachingForTheFuture
